TOTENTANZ - An Exhibition

A solo show of my work I'm putting on in June in London.

Go Red - Exquisite Corpse #4

The whole thing - all the pieces I did for the Go Red charity auction, all together in one exquisite corpse! (Alas the Head and Shoulders were surplus to requirement - they'd a surfeit of noggins!)

Monday Artday - "Circus"

This lovely lady is Camino Delgado, La Mujer Barbuda (or Bearded Lady,) of the Circo de William Parish in Madrid.

The Circus was real, and this is dedicated to my great friend Chichi Parish of that same family. I suspect this hirsute señorita is one of Chichi's 7 grandmothers.

Illustration Friday - "Brave" #2

Here lies dead the brave Uncas, Third Last of the Mohicans, shot in the back by the bullet from an English Grenadier's musket.

His body rests upon his noble tribe's ancestral burial mound, surrounded by his weapons and finest possessions.

Many years later, during the 1970s, greedy and unscrupulous property developers built a housing estate on top of the burial ground - with famously disastrous consequences.

Luigi's Deli Delivered

A piece I've just done for Chelsea-based italian deli Luigi's home delivery service.

I wanted to create a good-looking and friendly character. the main red of the shop is Luigi's standard red and goes on all their promotional material and packaging.

Illustration Friday - "Brave"

Here is the Mohican brave Uncas.
He is the Third Last of the Mohicans.
He stands on the wooded banks of the Hudson, his arrow pointed decisively at an unknowing Dutch Settler.

My first IF* contribution for some time!
