Nick & Maria Jordan's 100th Celebration Dinner

A wonderful job that Nick and I printed this week at the Print Club, for Nick and Maria Jordan who are having a celebratory meal in the Little Banqueting House at Hampton Court Palace (where Maria works in the conservation department) later in the summer to honour their joint 50th birthdays.

A good fun piece to do, for a very lovely couple. They asked me to include mad King George III ( aka Farmer George) for his Kew connections where they live. he is there in the middle with crown and turnip orb. The animal beneath the cake-stand is a Yale, a bizarre heraldic creature with tusks and swivelling horns and one of the eight 'Kyng's Beestes' Henry VIII (boo) had set up at the main entrance to the Palace at Hampton Court.
