Delft Tile -W.S.


A quick Delft tile I mocked up.

I think his name is William or possibly Walter Smudge, mill owner.

I would love to create a set of these. Perhaps I will.

I love this. You should do more.

I always wanted to have some period-looking tiles for a fireplace, and recently was able to commission the ceramic artist Meri Wells (a long-time friend) to make some for the Georgian fireplace behind our wood-burning stove. The finished tiles are tin-glazed, and you can see some here:
