When I thought of the word 'Choose'
the following things came to mind in the following order
Sophie's Choice
Hobson's Choice
(the first one too grim and the second an unknown quantity to me)
and then those proverbial extremes
of little or no choice
A Rock and a Hard Place
Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Fire
Between Two Stools
and this
Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea

Thanks for visiting and your kind words.
Fantastic idea and texture in your piece. I really like the bold lines...
I'm the one who went 'grim' with Sophie's Choice -- yours made me grin!!! I'll take the deep blue sea any day.
It's fascinating to read the thought process behind an artist's response to a prompt. This illustration is a perfect choice for the topic!
