Illustration Friday - "Captain" (No.2)

Not really a captain as such

But the word made me think of various Captains, fictional and otherwise, and Ahab in particular
- bitter, obsessive and doomed ( something an illustrator can relate to, perhaps!?)

So I mocked up this cover for Moby Dick

This would make a great book cover! I liked your other captain too, but I have a particular weakness for puns....

Paul, this is really beautiful work. I loved the captain entry too, but this is really moody and evocative. Lovely!

Hi Paul,
Thank you to like what I do… And thank you for the nice comment!
You make beautiful drawings, and the representation of Moby Dick would have liked the Captain Achab and the Hermann Melville.
Passe un excellent weekend

love the vintage look and the way you've layered the sea.
